## Description

The Clearfield County Historical Society, located in Pennsylvania, is a dedicated, volunteer-driven non-profit organization committed to preserving the rich history of Clearfield County. With no paid staff, the Society operates primarily through memberships, donations, and book sales, enabling the upkeep of its four historical museums: the Kerr House Museum, the Alexander Genealogical Research Center, the Carriage House, and the Bloody Knox Cabin.

The Society offers a variety of services, particularly in genealogical research, catering to those interested in tracing their family roots. Visitors can access self-guided research with staff assistance for a nominal fee, or opt for more extensive staff-led research within the museum or at the Clearfield County Courthouse.

In addition to membership and research services, the Society hosts events such as the Annual Dinner Meeting and the Fall Cider Festival, along with virtual museum tours and ongoing opportunities for community involvement. Emphasizing the importance of historical preservation, the Clearfield County Historical Society is a central resource for history enthusiasts and genealogy seekers alike.
