## Description

Clef’r is a brand focused on making music accessible to people living with dementia. Its main product is a smart, dementia-friendly music player designed to help users choose and enjoy their favorite music independently. With a simple interface, including a few buttons and artist images, the player aims to make use straightforward and reduce the risk of mistakes. Subtle light and sound signals can invite users to listen at appropriate moments, while the device adapts to individual routines and needs by learning from use and sensor data.

Clef’r is intended to support users’ autonomy and wellbeing while reducing reliance on care providers. The player was evaluated by University of Twente researchers in a study involving people with dementia in both home and care settings, over periods of two to six weeks. Feedback described it as easy to use and associated with improved user wellbeing and a lower care burden. Clef’r Design B.V. has begun delivering an initial limited run of players.
