The Climate Museum is the first museum in the U.S. dedicated entirely to the topic of climate change. Their mission is to address the climate crisis by transforming public culture through arts and cultural programming. By leveraging the popularity and trust held by museums, they aim to bring people together to learn and take action towards a more sustainable future. 

The Climate Museum offers a wide range of experiences, including interdisciplinary exhibitions, art installations, interactive panels, performances, science events, and youth programs. Their inclusive, equity-centered programming helps counter the pervasive misperception of American indifference on climate change, encouraging visitors to embrace courage, connectedness, and agency in tackling this global issue. 

Over the past five years, the Climate Museum has presented eight exhibitions and over 300 events, engaging over 350 high school students and welcoming thousands of visitors both in-person and online. They have partnered with various organizations and have received support from major arts and educational funders.

To make their work more accessible, the Climate Museum has launched a year-round initiative implemented through transit-accessible pop-up locations. The first pop-up is currently open in Soho, NYC, and will be running until April 2023. As the climate crisis intensifies, the need for communal spaces for understanding and resolve also grows, and the Climate Museum strives to provide exactly that.
