## Description

The Clinique interdisciplinaire de mémoire (CIME) is a specialized memory and cognitive health clinic within the Department of Neurological Sciences at Hôpital de l’Enfant-Jésus, part of CHU de Québec–Université Laval. Founded by neurologist Dr. Rémi W. Bouchard, it has operated as a specialized clinic since 1996 and works with the Centre d’excellence sur le vieillissement de Québec to support the health of an aging population. CIME evaluates patients referred by a physician for memory problems or other cognitive difficulties, and provides follow-up and care when needed. Its team includes more than five specialists in fields such as behavioral neurology, geriatrics, neuropsychiatry and gerontopsychiatry. The clinic assesses cognitive conditions across a range of severity, including Alzheimer’s disease, frontotemporal dementia, Lewy body dementia, multiple sclerosis and normal pressure hydrocephalus. More than 1,000 patients are assessed each year. CIME also aims to support patients’ well-being and quality of life, help families understand cognitive disorders, and guide them toward appropriate resources. A physician must submit a consultation request for patients seeking an appointment.
