## Description

The Community of Literary Magazines and Presses (CLMP), formerly the Council of Literary Magazines and Presses, is a New York-based organization that supports independent literary publishers and works to sustain a vibrant, diverse literary landscape. Its community includes small presses and magazines producing print and digital books, literary journals, online publications, chapbooks, and zines. CLMP helps publishers build organizational capacity through professional development, consulting, funding opportunities, and resources for independent publishing. Its programs include the Lit Mag Incubator Project, the Literary Magazine Fund, the NYTAP Regrant Program, and grants for publishers, as well as awards recognizing literary publishing. CLMP also connects publishers with readers, writers, booksellers, librarians, and advertisers through a directory of publishers, literary fairs, events, reading lists, and advertising options. The organization shares news and features about its members, offers resources on publishing and submissions, and provides opportunities for people to support or join its community. Through these services and connections, CLMP advocates for independent literary publishing and the organizations that make it possible.
