## Description

New Haven Westinghouse, a pioneering brand from the early 1930s, is renowned for its innovative A/C electric clocks featuring an advanced automatic control mechanism. This unique technology not only serves as a power outage indicator but also allows users to track the accuracy of their clocks with remarkable precision. When the power is restored, clocks equipped with automatic control resume timekeeping within a minute's accuracy, ensuring reliability even during interruptions. Their standout products include various models of self-starting electric clocks, characterized by their distinctive clicking second hands and solid construction, often using Bakelite and wood materials. These designs combine functionality and aesthetics, appealing to both collectors and everyday users. The brand reflects a commitment to quality and innovation, exemplified by the intricate internal mechanics developed by expert Arthur F. Poole, who holds several patents for alternating current synchronous time systems. New Haven Westinghouse remains a significant name in the history of clockmaking, admired for its contributions to the evolution of timekeeping technology.
