## Description

Cloud 9 Community Farms is a Philadelphia-based nonprofit organization that aims to foster leadership, resilience, and environmental stewardship through youth and community-led food and garden programs. With a focus on cultivating sustainable communities, Cloud 9 partners with organizations and buildings to design, build, and support the growth of community-led gardens and farms throughout Philadelphia. Their range of programs and services includes community-led design facilitation, project management, training, workshops, and community programs. They offer workshops in collaboration with partners such as Mural Arts Philadelphia, Friends Rehabilitation Program, Free Library of Philadelphia, Guild House West, and Sol Garden Studio, among others. Cloud 9 also operates a community-led Food Pantry at Guild House West, providing distributions every Tuesday and Thursday afternoon for low-income seniors. Additionally, they conduct weekly maintenance on rain gardens at The Haverford Triangle as part of The Philadelphia Water Department's Soak It Up Adoption Program. With three community-led farm and garden programs, Cloud 9 collaborates closely with the communities they serve to ensure their work meets their specific needs and goals. Their programs include the Urbanstead Farm, located within Francisville Village, which grows food for the community and hosts learning opportunities for all ages, and the Belmont Agrihood Project in West Philadelphia's Belmont neighborhood, where they develop a community-led food production and distribution plan. Through their work, Cloud 9 supports community ownership, biodiversity in urban environments, local food production and access, and tailored solutions to community needs and goals. They have a dedicated team of staff and board members who are passionate about creating resilient communities and promoting sustainable food systems. Join Cloud 9 Community Farms in their mission to build sustainable communities, foster leadership, and cultivate environmental stewardship through their innovative youth and community-led programs. Whether you're interested in hosting a workshop, starting a garden or food access program, or simply supporting their initiatives, they welcome your involvement. Together, we can make a difference in Philadelphia's communities and beyond.
