With over forty years of experience teaching meteorology at Linfield College in Oregon, Dr. Day dedicated his life to sharing his profound admiration for clouds. His photography and writings have graced international publications and museums, serving as inspiration for artists, musicians, and educators around the globe. The website serves as a gateway to his extensive knowledge and passion, showcasing resources such as the newly released "Peterson Field Guide to Weather," a collaborative work that reflects his enduring enthusiasm for weather phenomena.

In honor of his contributions, the National Look Up at the Sky Day was established to encourage people to appreciate the beauty above.
