## Description

The Club d'Ornithologie du Haut-Richelieu (COHR), established on February 13, 2003, is dedicated to birdwatching enthusiasts in the Haut-Richelieu region of Canada. This vibrant club fosters a love for avian life through various activities and events, enabling members to engage in bird observation and identification across multiple scenic locations. The COHR organizes informative excursions, including a notable event called "24 Hours of May," which celebrates birdwatching during the Patriotes’ weekend.

Members also participate in year-round initiatives like the "Défi-Ornitho," where they report sightings of bird species within the region. The club's communication tool, Le Pic Messager, keeps members informed about upcoming events and activities. The territory encompassed by the COHR includes the Haut-Richelieu MRC and surrounding municipalities, making it a hub for local birdwatching. With a straightforward membership registration process, the COHR welcomes anyone passionate about birds to join its community, creating opportunities for nature exploration and camaraderie among fellow bird lovers.
