## Description

Community Living Upper Ottawa Valley, located in Pembroke, Ontario, is an organization that was established in 1968 by dedicated parents who recognized the importance of coming together to provide essential community support services for their children and future generations. Today, parents and family members are still at the core of the organization, serving on the board, committees, and as volunteers. The success of Community Living Upper Ottawa Valley is built upon the hopes, dreams, and necessities of individuals living with intellectual disabilities. Offering a range of inclusive housing options, such as LifeShare Residential Support and Supported Independent Living, they ensure individuals have the opportunity to lead fulfilling lives within the community. Additionally, they provide services like Community Respite and Supported Employment Solutions. Community Living Upper Ottawa Valley is not only connected within its local community, but also on a regional, provincial, national, and international level. Through partnerships with organizations like the Madawaska Valley Association of Community Living and the Canadian Association for Community Living, they work collaboratively to promote inclusivity and support for individuals with disabilities.
