## Description

ClusterUY is Uruguay’s National Supercomputing Center, a high-performance computing platform supporting academic, technological, productive, and social research. It brings together distributed hardware so that multiple computing resources work as one integrated cluster, enabling researchers and technical teams to perform demanding calculations and process large datasets. The platform is available remotely across Uruguay and provides infrastructure as a service, software as a service, and platform as a service, with access tailored to different research needs.

ClusterUY operates from the Antel Ing. José Luis Massera datacenter in Canelones, a facility with Tier III certification. Its infrastructure includes 2,240 CPU cores, 6 TB of RAM, and more than 100,000 GPU computing cores across NVIDIA Tesla P100, Ampere A100, and A40 hardware. The system has a theoretical peak performance of 602 teraflops. Established with support from Uruguay’s National Agency for Research and Innovation and the Sectoral Commission for Scientific Research, the center uses a self-managed sustainability model, with operational support agreements involving UTE and Antel.
