## Description

The California Medical Association (CMA) is a professional organization that has been representing California physicians since 1856. Founded by a small group of physicians who recognized the importance of fighting for their patients and profession, CMA has a rich history of advancing the science and art of medicine, protecting public health, and improving the medical profession. With a mission to promote health equity and justice, CMA has consistently provided its nearly 50,000 members with comprehensive practice tools, services, and support. This includes legislative, legal, regulatory, economic, and social advocacy. Looking to the future, CMA is devoted to reducing administrative burdens, supporting quality care provision, and facilitating the success of physicians amidst industry consolidation. To accomplish these goals, CMA has developed an ambitious strategic plan for 2020-2025 that empowers physicians to lead and transform the healthcare system. By becoming a part of CMA's community, physicians can directly impact the practice of medicine and contribute to the well-being of California. Join CMA and be part of a professional network that empowers physicians to shape the future of healthcare.
