## Description

The CNITV (Centre National d’Informations Toxicologiques Vétérinaires) is a French veterinary toxicology organization operating Europe’s first veterinary poison control centre. For 40 years, it has provided a telephone hotline seven days a week, handling more than 22,000 calls annually. The service is funded through an annual membership campaign for veterinary professionals, and 98% of member veterinarians who call report being satisfied or very satisfied. Its telephone response service has held ISO 9001:2015 certification since January 2021.

Alongside its poison control work, the CNITV serves the veterinary medicine industry with professional services including pharmacovigilance case management and telephone coverage, medical information, bibliographic monitoring, expert reports, and medical marketing support. It also offers professional training and publishes the Sentinel-Vet software. The organization contributes to wildlife preservation and is Datadock-listed as a training provider. Its team includes veterinary doctors, an engineer, technical staff, and veterinary students trained to assist with hotline responses. The CNITV is based at the VetAgro Sup veterinary campus in Marcy-l’Étoile, France.
