## Description

Clube Naval de Ponta Delgada is a nautical and sporting club based in Ponta Delgada, Portugal. With more than a century of history, the club combines a long-standing maritime tradition with a modern approach to promoting and developing water sports and recreation. It serves hundreds of young people and thousands of active members each year, and has become a regional and national reference for sporting activities and event organisation. Its international profile includes the AZAB, an event that has been a club tradition since 1975.

The club offers a varied programme of activities, including recreational boating, swimming, dinghy sailing and sport fishing. Its news and event coverage also highlights powerboating and jet skiing, open-water swimming, and sailing competitions and training. Through these activities, the Clube Naval de Ponta Delgada supports participation in nautical sports and helps share the maritime vocation of the Azores. The organisation publishes activity plans and reports, provides information for members, and maintains a history documenting its development across the twentieth century.
