## Description

The California Orthopaedic Association (COA) is a leading organization representing orthopaedic surgeons in California. Established in 1975, COA was formed to advocate for orthopaedic surgeons in socioeconomic and legislative matters at both state and national levels. With a membership of nearly 2,100 orthopaedic surgeons, COA offers a range of services and resources to its members. These include practice management resources, educational courses, webinars, videos, podcasts, and certification programs like fluorscopy certification. COA is also actively involved in advocacy efforts, supporting legislation and regulatory initiatives that improve patient care and protect the interests of orthopaedic surgeons. Over the years, COA has successfully lobbied on various issues, such as preserving the scope of practice for orthopedists and maintaining fair reimbursement rates for physician services. Led by dedicated officers and the Executive Director, Diane Przepiorski, COA continues to serve its members effectively and provide valuable guidance in orthopaedic practice management. Explore the COA website to learn more about their membership, events, and resources.
