## Description

The Central Ohio Area Agency on Aging (COAAA) is a regional resource network serving older adults, people with disabilities, caregivers, and professionals across eight central Ohio counties. Established in 1974, it is one of Ohio’s 12 Area Agencies on Aging. Its mission is to inform and support people as they navigate aging or disability, helping individuals and families find the resources needed to live independently and with dignity.

COAAA connects people with information, guidance, and services that support life at home. Programs include assistance with in-home care, Medicare costs, home energy bills, and housing-related needs, as well as options such as PASSPORT, Veteran-Directed Care, and the Assisted Living Waiver. The agency also offers caregiver advice, education, support groups, and access to Trualta, a free online caregiver resource. Additional services include Medicare education, wellness workshops, volunteer guardianship, aging-in-place resources, and help finding providers and transition services. Through its staff, publications, events, and community partnerships, COAAA helps people understand available options and connect with support suited to their needs.
