The Council on Alcohol and Drug Abuse- Coastal Bend is a private nonprofit organization dedicated to offering comprehensive care for individuals, families, and communities affected by alcoholism and drug abuse. Founded in 1957, we have been serving the Coastal Bend area for over 60 years, expanding our reach to 12 counties in Texas. Our services include outpatient treatment for both youth and adults, provided by licensed and highly skilled counselors.

We also offer recovery support programs that assist individuals in learning to live sober, providing aftercare treatment such as support groups, recovery coaching, and resources for jobs, housing, and education. For pregnant women and post-partum individuals, we provide intervention programs and case management services to ensure the health and safety of both parent and child. Additionally, we focus on prevention and education, working closely with at-risk youth, families, schools, and support systems to prevent alcohol, tobacco, and substance abuse.

We also offer specialized services for veterans and their families, including case management, support groups, parenting education, financial education, and economic relief. Most importantly, we believe that access to help should not be limited by financial means. Therefore, many of our services are free, and we accept insurance.
