## Description

The Coalition for At-Risk Skin (CARS) is an interprofessional organization of healthcare thought leaders working to improve care for people with at-risk skin. Its mission is to advance evidence-based education, research, and resources, with a vision of helping individuals and their circles of care prevent and treat skin complications and maintain optimal skin health. CARS serves patients, clinicians, caregivers, and organizations across care settings.

The coalition develops consensus statements with input from multiple professions, creates practical, research-backed toolkits and resources, and offers educational guidance for real-world care. Its work also includes webinars, case studies, and continuing education, with topics such as moisturizer and barrier use, comfort-focused and palliative care, and skin changes at life’s end.
