## Description

The Coalition for Global Prosperity is a non-partisan, not-for-profit organization that brings together political, military, business, and faith leaders. Their mission is to keep Britain at the forefront of saving lives, alleviating poverty, and bringing freedom, security, and prosperity to those in need. They believe in the power of an effective development budget, combined with active diplomatic and defense strategies, to achieve these goals. By leveraging British expertise and investing in smart and effective aid programs, the Coalition believes that lives can be transformed. They ensure that British leadership in development goes beyond just values and doing what is right, but also making the world a better place for everyone. Through UK Aid, they contribute to making the world safer by stopping epidemics like Ebola and Zika, resolving conflicts, and building democracies. They also focus on making the world healthier by preventing and treating diseases like malaria, and providing essential services like clean water. Ultimately, they aim to help people in poorer countries become self-sufficient, spreading economic opportunity and being future trading partners for Britain. The Coalition for Global Prosperity hosts public and private events to explore the role of the UK as a global leader. They launched in June 2018 with prominent leaders David Cameron and Penny Mordaunt.
