COAR is an international association with over 120 members and partners worldwide, including libraries, universities, research institutions, and government funders. The organization's main goal is to connect individual repositories and repository networks to build capacity, align policies, and act as a global voice for the repository community. With a focus on leadership, community, and innovation, COAR is dedicated to creating a sustainable, inclusive, and trusted global knowledge commons based on a network of open access digital repositories.

Under her leadership, COAR has expanded its international reach and impact. The organization publishes an annual report detailing its achievements and activities.
