## Description

Coastal Resilience is an innovative program led by The Nature Conservancy, dedicated to leveraging nature’s power to mitigate coastal flood risks. With a robust network of practitioners, it spans across the U.S., the Caribbean, and Central America, addressing the challenges posed by climate change and natural hazards. The program employs a comprehensive four-step approach: assessing hazard risks and community vulnerabilities, identifying nature-based solutions, implementing conservation and restoration actions, and evaluating their effectiveness.

Coastal Resilience offers a suite of tools and resources, including a web-based mapping tool, which aids planners and officials in developing effective risk reduction and resilience strategies. Their Natural Solutions Toolkit exemplifies the program’s commitment to exploring the science behind nature-based solutions for flood risk management. By engaging in diverse projects from restoring oyster reefs in North Carolina to enhancing marsh habitats, Coastal Resilience empowers communities globally to safeguard their coastlines while promoting ecological sustainability. Join the efforts to protect our vulnerable shorelines and enhance resilience through nature.
