## Description

Cobaia Kitchen is a food and sustainability platform exploring how artificial intelligence can support creative plant-based cooking. Its name draws on the Portuguese word for guinea pig, reflecting the site’s playful idea of putting AI-generated recipes to the test in a real kitchen. The team develops vegan dishes with AI, prepares and evaluates them, and shares the results, including successes and occasional missteps.

Recipes are paired with carbon footprint analyses and carbon budget breakdowns to help readers make more climate-conscious food choices. The site also features a Climate Impact Badge and explains its approach to calculating recipe emissions. Through the Banana Bread Benchmark, Cobaia Kitchen compares AI models with established human recipes to assess how they handle ingredients, proportions, techniques, and flavor combinations.

Alongside recipes and sustainability articles, the platform offers AI-generated stories designed to make cooking more entertaining. Inspired by guinea pigs and based in a Bavarian culinary context, Cobaia Kitchen presents sustainable cooking as accessible, experimental, and enjoyable, bringing together technology, practical recipe testing, and environmental awareness.
