## Description

COBICO, the Colegio Profesional de Ciencias Bioquímicas de la Provincia de Córdoba, is the professional body responsible for overseeing the practice of biochemistry across Argentina’s Córdoba Province. Established under Provincial Law 5197 in 1970, it exercises public functions delegated by the provincial government while also operating as a civil entity. Its work includes supporting registered professionals, promoting standards for the profession, and coordinating with public authorities on laboratory regulation and authorization.

COBICO provides professional services and resources through its website, including active registration checks, administrative procedures and fee information, job listings, and a directory of authorized biochemistry laboratories. Members can access technical tools and documents, guidance on laboratory management, inspection and authorization, and information on professional fees. The organization also offers training through courses, conferences, bibliographic meetings, and specialist resources, alongside its Bioquinforma magazine, bulletins, news, and informational videos. Through collaboration with Córdoba’s Ministry of Health, COBICO works to streamline laboratory authorization processes and strengthen professional practice throughout the province.
