## Description

Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) is a satirical political movement presenting itself as a voice for young people who feel overlooked by the system. With the tongue-in-cheek tagline “Voice of the Lazy & Unemployed,” it uses humor and online activism to draw attention to issues including exam paper leaks, electoral integrity, voter protection, representation, media independence, and political defections. Its public manifesto sets out five demands, while its campaigns invite people to sign petitions, review school audits, explore evidence and reports, and engage with topics such as education and student justice. CJP also shares commentary and campaign material through social media and offers a free, lifelong membership that members may revoke themselves. The site says membership is open without regard to religion, caste, or gender, while playfully describing its intended community as unemployed, physically lazy, chronically online, and able to rant professionally. The organization describes itself as having no corporate donors and being headquartered wherever Wi-Fi works.
