## Description

Cocoon Shell is a customizable, controller-first Android frontend designed for retro gaming handhelds. Its Cocoon 3.0 release has been redesigned to provide a fast, sleek and intuitive way to organize and access games, while giving users control over how their handheld’s home screen looks and works. Players can point Cocoon to their games and customize layouts to suit their preferences.

The frontend includes Page Mode, which divides the home grid into separate pages and lets users choose custom row and column counts for organizing games and layouts. Cocoon also brings selected social and device activity into one place: users can see what their Discord and Steam friends are playing, message Steam friends, and reply to Android notifications from messaging apps. Community-created themes are supported, including themes made for Silk, with Cocoon’s layouts offering additional room for customization.

Cocoon Shell provides downloads and getting-started guidance, alongside news, a wiki, community spaces, feedback channels and resources.
