CODE CV

CODE CV is a Social Development Cooperative based in Cape Verde. We are dedicated to promoting quality tourism, social cohesion, equal opportunities, and empowerment of individuals and institutions. Our focus is on collaborative learning processes and the development of new skill sets. We are committed to sustainable development, empowerment, and the environment.

Our mission is to advance the sustainable development of Cape Verde through activities related to tourism, training, international projects, partnerships for development, empowerment, and local entrepreneurship. We aim to promote social innovation and interventions that prioritize quality and sustainability.

Some of our notable projects include RECICLARTE, a program designed to raise awareness among children about pollution and recycling by encouraging them to express their creativity through the creation of toys using recycled materials. We also have the Mulher Empreendedora program, which supports women with entrepreneurial ambitions and fosters networking and creativity.

In collaboration with the Municipality of Sal, we are working towards implementing a project that focuses on reducing the ecological footprint in Cape Verde by promoting the reuse of plastic as a raw material for creating new products.

We also offer a 6-month dance program for teenagers, combining traditional Cape Verdean rhythms with modern dances to keep them engaged and off the streets. Additionally, Sal Konect is a series of events aimed at promoting entrepreneurship and networking on Sal Island.

CODE CV is actively involved in social work, particularly through our RECICLARTE project. We work closely with other organizations to provide children with educational resources, school materials, toys, and food.

If you are interested in volunteering with us, we welcome your participation in our projects. While we cannot provide financial assistance for travel and accommodation, we offer a rewarding experience working with the local community and the opportunity to interact with other organizations doing social work in Sal.
