## Description

Cody’s Friends is a community-supported charity that helps keep pets fed and with the families who love them. Founded in 2011, the organization began with a 10-year-old boy’s desire to help animals and has grown into a local effort serving Southern Arizona. It provides thousands of pounds of pet food to families facing hardship and more than 50 local human service organizations. The charity also works with first responders and community organizations supporting people in difficult circumstances, helping ensure their pets receive care too. Cody’s Friends is a nationwide affiliate of the GreaterGood.org GOODS program and invites eligible 501(c)(3) organizations to apply to receive pet food. Its work is funded by community donations, including monetary contributions and bags of pet food, which help support pets’ health and wellbeing. Through its pet food assistance, donation, and volunteer programs, Cody’s Friends brings neighbors together to address growing need and help prevent pets from going hungry.
