## Description

Cognition operates Devin, the first autonomous software engineer — an AI agent that plans, writes, tests, and ships production code on its own, working inside your codebase and the tools your team already uses. The company believes the purpose of technology is to expand human capacity — not by replacing meaningful work, but by working alongside people as an exponential collaborator, helping them think deeper and move faster. Cognition helps engineers operate more like architects: strategizing, designing systems, and focusing on problem solving, while agents handle the repetitive engineering work. Devin is deployed at some of the largest and most complex institutions in the world, including Mercedes-Benz, Goldman Sachs, Ramp, Infosys, Cognizant, Nubank, and Itaú. Built by a team of interdisciplinary makers tackling the hardest problems in AI, Cognition is actively expanding its platform — with recent launches including Devin Desktop, Devin in Windsurf, FrontierCode, and a dedicated Cognition for Government offering.
