## Description

COIN is a Cologne-based inclusion consultancy founded in early 2025 to help make the general labour market more accessible to people with disabilities. Its work combines advice, inclusive education and support for employers seeking to build inclusive structures. COIN developed a concept for training inclusion consultants, and is now refocusing its efforts through COINnect, a non-profit project that connects people with their skills and employment opportunities.

COINnect is developing an inclusive qualification for care assistants in elderly care, with the first course planned for 2027. The initiative aims to create a route into paid, socially insured employment for young people with disabilities who may otherwise have few options beyond sheltered workshops. It also seeks to give care recipients more time and personal attention while providing care facilities with qualified support and easing pressure on staff. COIN plans to support participants throughout training and their transition into work, while advising care organisations on inclusive practices. Donations are being sought to fund development, delivery, participant support and evaluation of the qualification.
