## Description

Colorado Connector (CoCo) is a planned express intercity passenger train for Colorado’s Front Range, powered by the public Front Range Passenger Rail District. Designed as a comfortable alternative to driving on I-25 and nearby highways, it will connect communities along roughly 190 miles between Fort Collins and Pueblo, with Denver Union Station as its central hub. The route is planned to serve 12 stations, linking residents with jobs, education, healthcare, events, and other destinations. Trains are intended for longer city-to-city journeys, with wider seats, space for luggage and bicycles, and food and beverage service, giving passengers time to work, read, or relax. CoCo is planned to use mostly existing freight tracks. Starter Service is targeted for 2029, with three daily round trips between Fort Collins and Denver, stopping at eight stations. The service is expected to expand in phases toward Colorado Springs and Pueblo, with more trips over time. Trinidad is also planned to receive station infrastructure on the existing Amtrak Southwest Chief route.
