Colorado Digital Learning Solutions (CDLS) is the state-supported supplemental online learning program that offers a wide range of educational options for K-12 students in Colorado. As a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, CDLS has been awarded a statewide contract to provide supplemental coursework to support districts, BOCES, and charter schools. The goal of CDLS is to build a robust and self-sustaining model that meets the needs of students and schools in Colorado. With a focus on credit retrieval, credit advancement, and curriculum enhancement, CDLS offers expanded courses for middle and high school students. These courses are supported by a research-based student support model, involving highly qualified and state-certified online teachers, school-based site coordinators, and a dedicated CDLS leadership team. CDLS is constantly expanding its course catalog, offering subjects like Advanced Placement (AP), Career and Technical Education (CTE), college preparatory courses, and dual and concurrent enrollment options. The courses adhere to the Colorado Teacher Quality Standards and follow iNACOL's Blended Teaching Competencies. CDLS also provides professional development modules and coursework to teachers, helping them effectively teach in an online and blended learning environment. Graduate credit is offered for completed coursework. CDLS is an integral part of the Colorado Empowered Learning initiative, working towards enhancing equity and access in K-12 education through blended learning.
