## Description

Columbia Basin Herald, a reputable news outlet, provides reliable information and engages with its readers by offering a diverse range of news and features. However, recent events associated with the comic strip Dilbert and its creator, Scott Adams, have led the brand to make a principled decision. After Adams made controversial comments on his YouTube channel, including derogatory and racist remarks, Columbia Basin Herald has chosen not to associate with him any longer. As a news outlet committed to responsible journalism, the Herald believes in the power of freedom of speech combined with accountability. In support of a diverse and inclusive community, the Herald embraces the belief that racial harmony and cooperation are essential. The paper recognizes that working together, regardless of ethnicity or background, is the recipe for a united and thriving society. While some readers may have differing opinions about this decision, the Columbia Basin Herald stands firm in its commitment to providing accurate information and promoting a community free from racism.
