## Description

Comedy Wham is an independent, Austin-based comedy media and events guide run by people who love the local scene. Its weekly podcast features in-depth interviews with stand-up comedians, improvisers, and other comedy creators from Texas and beyond. Readers can also find columns, reviews, recommendations, festival coverage, and updates on comedy news and events.

The site maintains a daily-updated Texas comedy calendar covering Austin, Dallas–Fort Worth, Houston, and San Antonio. It tracks open mics, showcases, festivals, and other shows, helping performers and audiences explore what is happening across the state. Comedy Wham also runs the year-round Funniest Person in Austin competition, including its 2026 comedy festival, and provides a festival directory and performer directories featuring Texas comics and artists from around the world.

Visitors can browse podcast episodes, event listings, performer profiles, and festival information, or submit a show for consideration. Episodes are available through Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and YouTube. Comedy Wham also invites community support through Patreon, Venmo, and PayPal, and offers ways to report errors on its site.
