## Description

Commercial Type is a type foundry offering fonts for creative and commercial use. Its website features a catalog of typefaces, custom design services, news, and branded goods, giving designers and organizations ways to explore and commission typography. Customers can select fonts and licenses through an online store, manage purchases through an account, and download font software in formats suited to different uses, including desktop, web, and application projects.

Commercial Type offers licensing options for print and image creation, non-editable documents, websites, apps, e-publications, software and device embedding, and automated document production. Additional license extensions can cover uses such as merchandise, editable documents, third-party platforms, and sharing fonts with service providers working for the licensee. The company’s licensing terms specify permitted uses and are tied to the purchaser and selected license. Commercial Type also provides account-based access to order and license records and invites customers to contact the company for licensing guidance. Its license terms prohibit using its font software or designs as training data for artificial intelligence.
