Commission de l’océan Indien COI

Commission de l’océan Indien (COI_IOC) is an intergovernmental organization that includes five member states: Union des Comores, Réunion, Madagascar, Maurice, and Seychelles. They are dedicated to promoting sustainable development in the Indian Ocean region through diverse cooperation initiatives. Their areas of focus include integrated management of marine and coastal ecosystems, sustainable fisheries, environmental education, healthcare, governance, maritime security, agroecology, and culture.

The organization is actively involved in ongoing projects related to circular economy, entrepreneurship, waste management, peacebuilding, and climate change. They work in collaboration with various financial and technical partners to achieve their mission.
