Commit is a public-private ICT research community that has played a significant role in the field between 2011 and 2017. They have brought together scientific research, non-profit organizations, and ICT companies through fifteen public-private projects, contributing to the strengthening of the Dutch top sectors and maintaining the Netherlands' competitive edge as a knowledge country. With over 130 partners, including universities, technology institutes, and large and small businesses, Commit has created a strong network.

The revenue of Commit during this period was €110 million, with €50 million contributed by the government and the remaining €60 million by knowledge institutes, companies, and non-profit organizations. Commit's research covered a wide range of areas, including well-being and well-working, public safety, science, information services, and search, with applications in culture, agriculture, and healthcare. The results of Commit's collaborations have been remarkable, with innovative research outcomes featured in publications and media coverage.
