CommonLit is a nonprofit education technology organization that is dedicated to improving literacy development in schools, with a particular focus on students in Title I schools. Our mission is to ensure that all students graduate with the essential reading, writing, communication, and problem-solving skills they need to succeed in college and beyond. To achieve this goal, CommonLit provides teachers with a comprehensive range of resources and services.

Our CommonLit Literacy Model is based on over 2,000 high-quality free reading passages for grades 3-12, which are complemented by aligned interim assessments, growth-oriented data, and expert-led teacher development. These resources are flexible, research-based, and aligned to the Common Core State Standards. They have been created by teachers, for teachers.
