## Description

Common Notions Press is an autonomist publishing and programming brand that aims to inspire cultural shifts through the power of the printed word. With a strong belief in the common notions of our times bending toward freedom, they run their press collectively and practice transformative democracy in their office and relationships. Based in Brooklyn, NY, and Philadelphia, Common Notions collaborates with editorial houses, political collectives, militant authors, and maverick designers worldwide. Their publishing program focuses on books that offer timely reflections, clear critiques, and inspiring strategies to amplify movements for social justice. Common Notions Press draws from their experiences with various social justice movements, including #blacklivesmatter, climate justice, and the antiwar movement, to shape their publishing program. They are committed to stewarding a safer and more just world with their community of authors and readers. Their titles are distributed by Consortium Books and Sales Distribution, and they offer various order and distribution options, including special discounts and bulk orders. Common Notions also welcomes support from individuals who can become monthly sustainers to help publish the necessary words, deeds, and dreams that support movements for liberation and autonomy.
