It connects people facing a diagnosis, treatment, or caregiving responsibilities—called Travelers—with Connectors who have lived through a similar experience. Its planned free, automated matching platform is designed to make meaningful peer support more accessible, building on the personal care already provided by community organizations. The network matches people based on shared experiences, recognizing that each person’s circumstances matter. Founded by breast cancer survivor and advocate Carmen Johnson, Common Path Network is shaped by the lived experience of survivors, caregivers, and advocates. The organization is currently in a learning and research phase, partnering with Carolina Breast Friends to hear from people recently diagnosed with breast cancer and from survivors and thrivers. It also supports greater recognition of caregivers through The Whole Truth of Caregiving, an anthology led by co-founder Paul H.
