## Description

Community Futures Thompson Country is a community-based organization that helps entrepreneurs and local businesses build, launch, and grow. Its funding comes through agreements and contracts with federal and provincial governments, supporting services for communities across the Thompson Country region, including Kamloops, Clearwater, Barriere, Chase, Sun Peaks, and surrounding areas.

The organization offers business loans for people starting a venture, buying an existing business, or expanding operations. Aspiring entrepreneurs can access start-up coaching, advisory services, business planning tools, and programs such as Business Boot Camp. Business owners, social enterprises, and non-profits can also receive up to two hours of free one-to-one consultation with a business expert in eligible service areas. Webinars and interactive workshops provide additional learning opportunities, with availability varying by region.

Community Futures Thompson Country also connects clients with resources and programs, including the Export Navigator Program, Farmers’ Market Incubator, Venture Connect, and support for entrepreneurs with disabilities. Through its guidance, financing, learning opportunities, and practical tools, the organization helps people develop business skills and turn ideas into viable enterprises. Its services are rooted in local community support and tailored to the needs of regional entrepreneurs.
