## Description

Community R4C is a community-led initiative in Gloucestershire that aims to create economic, social, and environmental benefits by transforming waste into valuable resources. Instead of burning or burying waste, Community R4C envisions a circular economy where over 90% of the county's waste is recycled and repurposed for sale and re-use. Their goal is to establish an advanced and commercially sustainable recovery and recycling plant. Community R4C has also played a crucial role in uncovering an illegal and costly incinerator contract in Gloucestershire, challenging it in the High Court and under the Audit and Accountability Act 2014. This work has far-reaching implications not only for the county but for other communities seeking to protect resources and the environment. Through their website, Community R4C offers valuable resources and information, making their work accessible and inspiring change beyond Gloucestershire. Catch up with their latest news and updates to stay informed about their ongoing efforts and contributions to building a better waste management model within a circular economy.
