## Description

Competification.com is a satirical dictionary-style website built around “competification,” a playful term for turning everyday activities into competitions. Its mock entry explores how scores, rankings, streaks, badges, and leaderboards can transform things people once did for enjoyment into measured performance. Examples range from sleep and walking to reading, language learning, coffee, and even standing up, highlighting the absurdity of assigning metrics to every part of life.

The site’s central interactive feature, the Competifier, lets visitors enter any noun and receive a fictional competition concept in response. It also presents an intentionally pointless global leaderboard, complete with scores and ranks, to parody the pressure to optimize and compare. Visitors can withdraw from the competition, removing their score and rank; the act is framed as a reminder that nothing needs to be tracked or won. Rather than offering conventional products or services, Competification.com provides a humorous online experience and social commentary about competition culture, digital tracking, and the value of doing things simply for their own sake.
