The Composites Association of New Zealand (CANZ) is the national industry body for composites and fibreglass. It brings together organisations and individuals across manufacturing, engineering, materials supply, research and related fields to share knowledge, solve problems and advance the sector. CANZ promotes New Zealand’s composites expertise, connects members with opportunities, and represents the industry to government and its agencies.

The association supports members through industry updates, networking, conferences, educational events and training developed with specialist training partners. Its resources include practical guidance and videos on techniques such as gelcoat repair, laminating, vacuum bagging and safe resin handling. CANZ also monitors legislative and standards developments and provides a member-informed Composites Code of Practice to support health and safety compliance.

Member businesses design and produce composite products for marine, aerospace, transport, infrastructure, architecture and other applications. These include tanks, pipes, ducts, gratings, structural components, truck canopies, foils, spars and hull parts. CANZ encourages collaboration, professional development and market growth, championing materials that can deliver strength, durability and reduced weight across demanding environments.
