Comunidad | Falls Church VA is a brand that is dedicated to empowering and supporting local community leaders. With a vision to see individuals and communities thrive, their mission is to equip and engage these leaders. Comunidad was born out of a deep desire to provide a platform for community leaders to lead and flourish.

Founded by Maralee Guitierrez Cruz, Comunidad draws inspiration from her own personal experience of finding strength and support within her community. The brand aims to provide others with the same kind of support that she received. Comunidad's first focus area is Seven Corners in Falls Church, chosen after careful consideration and listening to the residents of Culmore and Seven Corners.

The decision was solidified after meeting three remarkable women who had shown incredible commitment to their community. They were instrumental in starting the brand's first reading program in 2018. Comunidad believes in building the capacity of everyone in the community, from young leaders to experienced parents and grandparents.
