## Description

Conexão Inovação Pública is a network dedicated to driving innovation in the public sector in Brazil. Comprised of individuals, both public servants and non-public servants, from all over the country, Conexão aims to enhance public services by facilitating the engagement and improvement of public agents. Unlike a legal entity, our network is entirely formed by volunteers who dedicate their free time to promoting innovation. They receive no financial or non-financial compensation for organizing and hosting events. The network's origins can be traced back to a group of federal public servants from Rio de Janeiro who wanted to bring innovation initiatives closer to home. They organized a Design Thinking workshop in July 2018, called Conexão Inovação Pública RJ, which received an overwhelming response. This successful event was followed by more volunteer-led activities and the network grew organically. Conexão Inovação Pública has achieved impressive results, including the realization of 131 events, courses, and workshops, with a cumulative content duration of 585 hours. They have published 15 toolkits, materials, and methods, impacting over 28,586 individuals directly. Additionally, they have collected donations totaling R$ 9,730.54, as well as various goods such as food, clothing, books, and toys for social organizations and projects. Their efforts have been supported by 87 different institutions, including public bodies, companies, and collectives. The network's website was made possible through crowdfunding efforts from Conexão's contributors, who collectively raised R$ 1,088.40. After the expenses for domain, hosting, and email services (totaling R$ 704.50), the remaining amount of R$ 383.90 was donated to INCAvoluntário.
