## Description

Resources for Human Development (RHD) is a national human services nonprofit dedicated to helping people of all abilities build better lives and achieve greater independence. Founded in 1970, the organization has more than five decades of experience developing caring, effective, innovative, and person-centered services. Its programs are trauma-informed and shaped around individual needs, with a commitment to dignity, respect, and empowerment.

RHD serves individuals and families, while also working with government agencies, community partners, private donors, and foundations. Its services span intellectual and developmental disabilities, behavioral health, addiction recovery, homelessness, women and children, integrated health care, youth development, and veterans. Support can include vocational training, counseling and mobile services, recovery planning, shelters, safe havens, supported independent living, and case management.

With a national reach and a local approach, RHD adapts its programs to the changing needs of the people and communities it serves. Donations and other forms of support help sustain its services and create opportunities for participants to pursue productive, fulfilling lives.
