Confirmado is a collaborative project aimed at combating misinformation in Guatemala. Confirmado initially started as an initiative by a group of allies with the support of Mirador Electoral to fight misinformation during elections. After the electoral process, they shifted their focus to creating an educational platform called Campus Confirmado, funded by ICFJ. Their methodology for data verification involves selecting relevant information, consulting official sources, contrasting data with official records, seeking expert opinions, confirming or debunking the claims, and finally publishing the results.
