## Description

Connecting Us, LLC helps neurodivergent young adults build the skills and confidence to form and maintain meaningful friendships and romantic relationships. Created by Sarah Macek and Tandis Taj, the practice is grounded in the belief that social connection is essential to a fulfilling life, while recognizing that communication can involve confusing or unspoken rules. Its trainers are PEERS certified and use evidence-based interventions tailored to each client’s needs, personality, and stage in their relationship journey.

Services include individual virtual sessions, group sessions, dyads with two clients and a therapist, and consultations. Sessions may be co-led by both therapists, creating a supportive conversation with more than one perspective. Clients work on practical topics such as friendship development, dating etiquette, electronic communication, small talk, sharing information, appropriate humor, and navigating misunderstandings or arguments. Guidance is designed to help clients apply strategies in everyday situations with increasing independence. Connecting Us also offers a free consultation for people interested in learning more.
