## Description

The Connie Erickson Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to raising money for pancreatic cancer research and supporting families affected by the disease. Founded by Susan Jonas after her mother, Connie Erickson, died of pancreatic cancer in 2015, the organization works to advance research, expand treatment options and help families facing the illness. Its long-term goal is to double the five-year survival rate.

The foundation funds its mission through donations, community events and sales of Connie’s artwork. Supporters can attend its annual golf outing and Sip & Swirl wine and bourbon tasting, take part in online auctions, or shop Connie’s Creations, featuring her Zentangle art and calligraphy on cards, tiles, canvases and other items. Donations are tax-deductible and can be made online.

Donor support has helped Norton Audubon Hospital become the first hospital in Kentucky to offer endoscopic ultrasound-guided radiofrequency ablation, a minimally invasive treatment for pancreatic tumors. The foundation also shares stories, event updates and information about its impact to connect supporters with its work.
