## Description

Contemporary Families (CCF) is a non-profit and non-partisan organization committed to providing the public and media with the latest research and best-practice findings regarding American families. Our diverse membership includes experts in demography, economics, family therapy, history, political science, psychology, social work, sociology, communication studies, and other family-related disciplines. Since our establishment in 1996, based at the University of Texas at Austin, our mission has been to deepen the national understanding of the dynamics of contemporary families, their evolving nature, unmet needs, and the most effective solutions to meet those needs. To achieve this, we organize annual conferences open to all, publish briefing papers and fact sheets for journalists, and offer membership exclusively to professionals in the field. In addition, we have a college internship program for undergraduate and graduate students, supervised by our board members. Join us and stay informed through our excellent weekly news briefing and periodic news releases.
